Paul Sellers

Paul Sellers describes himself as a lifelong amateur woodworker. Paul Sellers’ biography as a woodworker began in a small joiner’s workshop in Stockport, England in 1965.

He spent a large part of his working life in the USA where he taught woodworking courses. He often talks about this on his blog.

Paul’s hard work and love of the craft resulted in his designs furnishing the homes of President Bush and Senator Gramm, two of his pieces also grace the Cabinet Room of the White House. They are part of the White House Permanent Collection.

In 2009 he moved back to the UK. Since then he has launched his highly successful YouTube channel, a project subscription site called Woodworking Masterclasses, and a site for beginner woodworkers called Common Woodworking. He has also released his latest book, Essential Woodworking Hand Tools

In early 2018 Paul and the team moved to their current studio in Oxfordshire. From here, Paul often shares snippets of this on his Instagram and Facebook.

Paul’s next project will take place in the form of the ‘Sellers Home’. This is an exciting new venture which you can read more about here.

Paul was one of the first YouTube woodworkers that I watched.  He is a good teacher.  His videos can be overly long, but worth watching.  I have learned much from him.
