Not really my first, but my first on this site. The intent is to leave comments about my woodworking hobby and a bit about me. Friends and family will be the most interested in what I have to say. Comments are always welcome.
Woodworking theory says to measure twice cut once. The reality is measure once or more, cut and keep cutting until it either fits or it is to short for anything other than firewood, then back to the lumber yard for more wood. Later I will try to explain that making some things identical is more important than strict accuracy.
In Theory there is no difference between Theory and Practice.
In Practice there is a good deal of difference between Theory and Practice.
I started down this path in 2013. I had just retired from managing Information Technology Teams. I enjoyed my long career but wanted to see something I made with my hands. I had some tools acquired during my many moves, repairing TVs (I’m an old fart after all), repair pieces of junk cars I bought before I had a good paying job and just a general curiosity about how things work.
Comments about anything here are most welcome.
